I was surprised by how much these lessons helped. Compared to other tutorials I’ve used, these were way easier to follow and actually made the color stuff click for me. Nothing felt overly complicated, which I really appreciated

"The bleach worked better than I expected"
I used this bleach on my dark roots, it lifted way faster than the one I was using before. I know people can be picky about bleach, but for me it got my hair to a clean pale yellow without leaving it feeling completely fried. I’m happy with how it turned out.

I mostly bought this because my gray roots were getting way too obvious, and it did a better job than the one I was using before. The color looked even and the grays were covered, which I feel like means it must be a decent product. It was easy enough to use too, and I didn’t end up with a huge mess or some strange color, so I’m happy with it.

I’m definitely not a professional, but this was surprisingly easy to work with. The color mixed smoothly and went onto my hair without turning into a big mess, which I appreciated. The instructions were clear enough that I didn’t feel lost, unlike with some other brands I’ve tried. The end result came out nice and even too. It’s not something I’d call completely foolproof, but overall I had a good experience and would use it again

I actually liked a lot of the colors, and a few of the shades worked really well for me. But... I do wish there was a bigger range to choose from. Some of the in-between tones I needed were kind of hard to find, which was a little frustrating. Overall, not bad at all! Just feels like it could be better with more options.

I was kind of going back and forth before ordering because I wasn’t totally sure about one detail, and I figured I’d probably have to wait a while for an answer. I sent a message anyway, went on with my day, and surprisingly they got back to me quickly. The person explained everything in a really simple way without making me feel awkward for asking. it was just nice dealing with a company that actually responds and is helpful.

"Worked fine, but the color ran warmer than I expected"
I ordered a toner and color from uglyducklingcolor.com, mostly because I was focused on toning down the brassiness and didn’t pay a ton of attention to anything else. It did the job well, but the final shade looked warmer than what I thought I was seeing in the online pictures. Not a disaster at all, my hair still turned out okay, I just wish the color charts showed the tones a little more accurately.

"Toner worked better than I expected"
I used the Ugly Duckling toner after bleaching my hair, and it actually helped a lot with that yellow color. My hair came out more of soft blonde instead of the orange shade it had before. I was little nervous doing it myself, but the directions were easy to follow. I’m really happy with the tone now, looks like I had it done at salon.

I’ve used Ugly Duckling color a few times now, and it’s been really good. My hair usually fades quickly, but this one stayed bright and even for weeks.
Even after a bunch of washes, the tone still looked nice and didn’t get dull or weird. I’m happy with it and would definitely buy it again.

"Good product, packaging was a little rough"
The products themselves were fine, no complaints there, but the packaging could definitely be better. The box showed up dented, and one of the bottles had leaked a bit, which was annoying. Not a huge disaster or anything, and I still used everything, but I guess I expected it to be packed more securely. Just felt like it got tossed around too much in shipping.

I don’t usually buy into all the shiny salon-style claims brands make, because half the time it’s just nice wording. But after coloring my hair, it actually did feel softer and way less dry than usual. Happy with it, honestly.

I ordered from uglyducklingcolor.com after my stylist friend casually mentioned it, and I’m being totally calm about this, but the color was actually so good. It mixed really easily and went on evenly, which was a relief because I’ve definitely had other brands turn out patchy before.
It felt like professional salon product, not cheap or watered down at all. Shipping was fine too, no drama there. I’ll definitely be ordering again, very calmly, of course.
